Sugarbug Dental & Orthodontics is an established Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic practice that has been serving the county of Ventura for over 10 years, just a short drive from the ocean in the city of Oxnard, CA. As our company has expanded and continues to grow, so do the opportunities to grow our team. Sugarbug is currently looking for an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator to join our practice.

This position requires dedication to the delivery of quality oral health care for all children, a caring and compassionate nature and commitment to becoming an integral part of Sugarbug’s oral health care team. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Greet patients with a smile
  • Interact with children
  • Answer telephones
  • Post payments to patient accounts
  • Create accounts for new patients
  • Check patient eligibility
  • Schedule follow-up appointments  as directed
  • Present treatment plans to patients
  • Present payment plans to patients
  • Coordinate fees and insurance benefits for patients 
  • Present available financial options and payment methods
  • Coordinate patient flow
  • Confirm patient appointments
  • Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits
  • Check messages (email and phone)
  • Keep patients’ insurance information up to date 
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience

  • 2 years’ office experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of computers for word processing, scheduling, insurance claims processing and records management (list software experience required including any specific dental software)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community

  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as division, multiplication, fractions, and percentages to practical situations.

 

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not mandatory

-Compensation (31-54k yearly range based on hourly pay) based on Experience and Education
